This report was commissioned by the Wellcome Trust to analyse the data sharing practices of multiple stakeholders during the ongoing response to the MERS-CoV outbreak. This case study of data sharing during a public health emergency caused by an emerging pathogen without a licensed intervention will be used to better understand the barriers and enablers to data sharing and how these inform the research response to such outbreaks.
