Publications in leading journals

The work of GloPID-R, its members and partners in the response to COVID-19 has recently been featured in leading journals.

In March, The Lancet published ‘Urgent lessons from COVID 19: Why the world needs a standing, coordinated system and sustainable financing for global research and development’, in which authors Nicole Lurie, Gerald Keusch and Victor Dzau lay out the priorities to bridge the gap in R&D preparedness and response.

In April, BMC Medicine published a commentary ‘Research priorities for Long Covid: refined through an international multi-stakeholder forum’ by Dr Gail Carson and the Long Covid Forum Group. The authors present the findings of the Long Covid Joint Research Forum organized by GloPID-R and ISARIC in collaboration with the advocacy group Long Covid Support.

In May, The Lancet published ‘COVID-19 research response and preparedness in low-resource settings: urgent priorities’ by Alice Norton and co-authors from the GloPID-R, UKCDR, and COVID-19 Clinical Research Coalition Cross-Working Group on COVID-19 Research in LMICs.
