GloPID-R at the European Congress on Tropical Medicine and International Health 2017
GloPID-R’s work in preparing and responding to infectious diseases will be presented during a session at the European Congress on Tropical Medicine and International Health 2017 (ECTMIH) in Antwerp, Belgium on October 19, 2017.

E Health, DG Research and Innovation, European Commission, and Yazdan Yazdanpanah, GloPID-R Vice Chair, Director, French National Alliance for Life Sciences and Health (Aviesan), Institute ITMO I3M will lead the session “Preparing for the Next Epidemic: The Need for Global Collaboration.”
This session will discuss how preparedness research is an essential component of the public health response. Particular focus will be on strategies for early detection of infectious threats, data sharing during public health emergencies, and better coordination of research preparedness efforts.
