Global Health Matters recently started its second season to bring listeners new perspectives and ideas on key topics in global health. Opening with a focus on health equity in South Africa, host Garry Aslanyan spoke to three influential women working to enhance access to medicines and vaccines.
His guests were Judit Rius Sanjuan, an attorney and policy specialist; Fatima Hassan, a human rights lawyer campaigning against ‘vaccine apartheid’; and Peter Terblanche, Managing Director of Afrigen Biologics in Cape Town.
There were 10,000 downloads of the podcast in Season 1, which concluded with reflections and insights on various episodes from two listeners: Teresa Soop, a Senior Research Advisor, Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), and Mohammad Al Safadi, Senior Health Officer, Global Polio Eradication Initiative.
