EDCTPEleventh EDCTP Forum
The Eleventh EDCTP Forum will take place from 7-10 November 2023 in Paris, France, at the Palais des Congrès de Paris. The Forum theme is “Partnering for Global Health Research Innovation and Impact in Africa – Celebrating EDCTP: two decades and beyond”. This Forum marks the 20th Anniversary of EDCTP’s establishment.
The EDCTP Forum is a biennial event that provides an international platform for the presentation and discussion of cutting-edge research addressing the burden of poverty-related and neglected infectious diseases in sub-Saharan Africa and the capacity development and networking activities that support this goal.
The Forum is hosted by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research of France and ANRS | Emerging Infectious Diseases. The Eleventh Forum is organised and supported by the second EDCTP programme (EDCTP2) and the Global Health EDCTP3 Joint Undertaking.
The Eleventh Forum is a hybrid event and is expected to have mainly in-person participation. A selection of the EDCTP Forum sessions taking place in Paris and all abstracts will be accessible virtually via the online conferencing platform.
At the Forum, EDCTP will award four prestigious international prizes to recognise outstanding individuals and research teams from Africa and Europe who have made significant achievements in their research field. Additionally, the awardees will have made major contributions to strengthening clinical research capacity in Africa and supporting South-South and North-South networking.
