CSA Be Ready

Be Ready Consortium

The Be Ready Consortium has adopted a logical framework, gap analysis, and roadmap towards the preparation of the Strategic research and innovation agenda. An observatory questionnaire is available to be completed by interested parties. The questionnaire should be completed by representatives of ministries for R&I, research councils, ministries for health, funding agencies, research organisations and infrastructures, for each region or country.

International Network

  • Two Scientific Days were recently held, in November 2022 at the ANRS | Emerging infectious Diseases partner site in Burkina Faso and in January 2023 at the partner site in Côte d’Ivoire. These events are an opportunity to take stock of collaborative research and to decide on research priorities and perspectives for the coming years.
  • In Côte d’Ivoire, the Scientific Days were also an opportunity to sign an agreement to create a new International Research Platform in Global Health (PRISME CI). This international and inter-institutional initiative will contribute to the definition of strategies to prepare and respond to the emergence and re-emergence of epidemics. It brings together ANRS | Emerging Infectious Diseases, Inserm, University of Bordeaux and the French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development (IRD), the Ministry of Health, Public Hygiene and Universal Health Coverage (MSHP), the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MESRS), the Ministry of Economics and Finance (MEF), the PAC-CI association and the French Embassy in Côte d’Ivoire.
  • An expert on infectious diseases was recruited in February 2023 and will be posted in Zambia (Lusaka University Teaching Hospital) to set up new research projects and collaborations with partners in Southern Africa.
