In-person meeting for GloPID-R’s Executive Board

The GloPID-R Executive Board met on May 31 for the first time in person since October 2019. The meeting was hosted by the European Commission in Brussels.

During the day of discussions and exchange, GloPID-R chairs heard an update on the hepatitis and monkeypox outbreaks from our Scientific Manager Alice Norton, and considered subjects on GloPID-R governance & structure, Scientific Advisory Board, our Pandemic Tracker and Coordinated Funding Platform models.

Reports were provided by our working group leaders and updates were given on the progress of our Asia-Pacific and African regional hubs.

The consultancy Shift Health presented results from the internal and external landscape assessment they recently conducted for GloPID-R and underlined the strategic imperatives for our global network. Their full report has been shared with our membership.

The Executive Board is looking forward to welcoming GloPID-R members in person to our General Assembly in Berlin, on October 19-20 2022.
