GloPID-R brings together funders investing in research related to new or re-emerging infectious diseases. Our aim is to increase preparedness and speed up the research response to outbreaks with pandemic potential.
Through our worldwide network of research funders, we facilitate coordinated investment to improve preparedness and a rapid research response to epidemics and pandemics.
The overriding aim of our work is to impact global health by saving lives. To coordinate the work of funders, we are active on several fronts.

The independent Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) is made up of 13 members. The SAB advises the Executive Board on questions related to preparedness and emergency response, providing expertise from a range of disciplines. Board members serve for three years with the option to renew for a second term.
The Liaison Committee oversees the preparation and implementation of the Executive Board’s strategic decisions.
The GloPID-R Secretariat provides scientific, strategic, organizational, financial and administrative support for the Executive Board and our members. It oversees GloPID-R communications, facilitating information sharing among our members and stakeholders while raising visibility of our global coalition and its activities.
