New recruits for the GloPID-R Scientific Secretariat
GloPID-R’s Scientific Secretariat is revitalising in early 2022 with the recruitment of new full-time research and policy officers. They bring valuable knowledge in priority focus areas.
“We are delighted to welcome these highly-qualified scientists and policy experts,” said Alice Norton, Scientific Manager of the Oxford-based Secretariat. “They bring valuable knowledge and experience in priority focus areas for GloPID-R – such as One Health, global health research, epidemic preparedness and response, health systems and policies.”
The new research & policy officers will support the GloPID-R working groups, in particular the Clinical Trials Network WG, which is currently being revamped, as well as the Research in LMICs WG. They will also be in lead policy and research work and support during implementation of the regional hub strategy and coordinated funding development.
“We are recruiting a part-time administrative assistant to provide operational support for our team, who will begin in the early Spring,” added Alice.
Stay tuned for more news about our Scientific Secretariat, which we will be announcing soon.
