CIHR Avian influenza One Health Research funding opportunity now open

Research evidence is urgently needed to guide Canada’s response to the current outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza A(H5N1). Given the rapidly evolving H5N1 situation in the U.S. and globally, the funding opportunity has been accelerated from the original timelines.

The CIHR Centre for Research on Pandemic Preparedness and Health Emergencies (CRPPHE) is leading this funding opportunity in partnership with the CIHR Institute of Infection and Immunity (III), Michael Smith Health Research BC, and the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) and collaborating with the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), and the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC).

Priority research areas span multiple disciplines and sectors.
