ANRS MIE and WHO Lead Filovirus Research Priorities Following Ebola Outbreak
Appointed by WHO to lead the Collaborative Open Research Consortium (CORC) on Filoviruses, French National Research Agency for HIV, viral hepatitis and emerging infectious diseases (ANRS MIE) continues to strengthen global epidemic preparedness through its role as a WHO Collaborating Center. Following the recent Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo, ANRS MIE and WHO convened experts from the consortium on 5th September, 2025 to identify ten key research priorities supporting the immediate response and future preparedness efforts.
Launch of PRISME
In an effort to strengthen scientific collaboration, France and Brazil have announced the launch of the France–Brazil International Research Platform in Global Health (PRISME France–Brazil), an international consortium bringing together several key stakeholders from both countries. The result of over twenty years of close scientific and technical cooperation between France and Brazil in the field of health, this initiative brought together researchers, clinicians, decision-makers and representatives of civil society. PRISME officially launched in Fortaleza, during the 31st France–Brazil Scientific and Technical Cooperation Seminar and the 9th Scientific Day of the ANRS MIE partner site in Brazil, which took place from 1st October to 3rd October, 2025.
ANRS MIE holds EACS 2025
ANRS event European AIDS Clinical Society Conference took place from 15th to 18th October, 2025 in Paris, France. The EACs conference is held every two years in an effort to bring together scientists from across Europe to exchange the latest information on HIV/AIDS.
ANRS MIE conducts Scientific Days PRISME Guinea
ANRS MIE held the PRISME Guinea (International Research Platform for Global Health) from 21st October to 22nd October, 2025 in Conakry, Guinea. The scientific days are organised by CERFIG, in collaboration with all the partners of the International Research Platform for Global Health (PRISME). The even highlighted the dynamics of research on infectious diseases conducted in Guinea.
